    Where did you download?

You can try the SAV Intelligent Updater download from this link:

    http://www.symantec.com/security_response/definitions/download/detail.jsp?gid=savce

SAV is EOL so you need to move to SEP

Symantec AntiVirus 10.x Corporate Edition (SAV) will reach its scheduled End-of-Support-Life (EOSL) on July 4, 2012. Virus definitions, maintenance updates, and technical support will no longer be available for this product. The recommended upgrade path is to replace SAV 10.x with Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 (SEP 12.1). More information

Do you need more assistance with your problem or were you able to get it resolved?

If you could post an update for followers of this thread that would be most helpful.

Otherwise, if resolved, you can close the thread out by clicking the "Mark as solution" link at the bottom left on the most helpful post.

    Thanks and take care,

    Hi kRaman,

I recommend moving to a newer server- SAV 10 was the final Symantec release which supported Itanium, and that has passed its end-of-life.

After Symantec AntiVirus 10.x Corporate Edition Reaches its End-of-Support-Life Date, Will Symantec Endpoint Protection Provide Support for Itanium Processors?

Even if new definitions were available, SAV 10 would not longer be a suitable solution.  It was never tested with definition files as large as are available today, and does not include the other security features (firewall, IPS, Insight, etc) which are so useful in blocking today's threats.

    Hope this helps!
