Is there a way to have a save search show computers newer that 3 days. I ry to change the default one but the date just reverts back to a 2010 date which is useless!

Which report are you trying to modify?  Did you clone it to edit it?

Its not the report - its the saved searches in 'Computers' section

see screenshot. If I cahnge the date to 3 days ago and then save - it reverts back to the original date in 2010!

I was told that you can't change that.  I think that I had entered an enhancement request a long time ago.

Edit:  I agree that the current functionality of the Saved Search is near useless.

You can't overwrite a default saved search.  You can modify/add search criteria and then save it using the blue disk icon.  If you don't save it, then all your modifications will be removed once you click on something else.  

As for the number of days, currently you can only used a fixed date - no way to say, specifically, "all new computers within the last 3 days".

If I add a criteria - 'Created date <  date (15 days ago)'  and save this  - the saved search is saved but the date reverts back to the default which is 2010.

Its not a general problem as I tested it here and it works as Andrew described. If you right click on your newly saved search and choose view as xml, whats written in itemAttributes? Should be Normal for your own saved search and readonly for the new computers default search.

Yeah - got it working - seems to be hit or miss. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't
