  • 1.  SAVF Installation Problem

    Hi,

     

    This is wierd, I'm not really familiar with linux we're using RHEL 6.2 we got this error on installation process:

    "unable to create server socket: address already in use"

    Does anyone know how to fix this? or at least know what it mean?

    suggest to look into system requirement guide

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH101598

    and verify if this is supported.

    i do not see 6.2 in system requirement guide, can yo confirm the kernel version after checking the above article.

    Hi,

     

    We're using Rhel 6.2 kernel vesion 2.6.32-220.e16, based on the Symantec Antivirus for Linux 1.0.14 Implementation Guide it is supported.

    Does it also  have backup exec from symantec installed?

    can you post the install log?
