  • 1.  Scan Engine 32 or 64 bit

    I was just reading some CAVA agent server Ssecifications and it mentioned requiring the 64 bit CAVA agent cannot work with 32 bit AV agent. The server I have Scan Engine installed on is W2K8 R2, but when looking for the Scan Engine specs, I saw nothing about 32/64 bit and only one Windows install. I guess I should be all set then?

    As there is no 64bit Scan Engine. You will likely need to use the 32bit CAVA agent.

    It actually appears that that as of Scan Engine 5.2.11 can work with the 64bit CAVA agent.

    Thats the version I have installed, but the EMC peeps are afraid it might be a problem because they were saying the CAVA package will install the 64 bit version based on the OS which won't match the 32 bit Scan Engine.
