Hi,

at the moment we use the scan engine with SEP 11. I have seen that the SEP client 12 does not share its definitions with other Symantec products.

Do we need a LiveUpdate Administrtor then or is it possible configure liveupdate.xml to get defintion updates from SEPM?

Thank you!

Ok thank you. But do we really need a Live Update server? At the moment we do not have one. We update the clients via SEPM and the scan engine gets the definitions from the client on the server.

You would need a LUA server, but if there are no other business cases for a LUA server I would just get the definitions from Symantec, you're downloading them all in either case

Ok thank you. I will install a LUA server because we also use Mail Security for Domino and that will be the same issue.
