    Hi Guys,

I need a clarification regarding excemptions of scanning on SEP.

If you exclude a windows file or folder in full scan/active scan under excemptions policy, does it mean that SEP will exclude the windows file or folder from scanning. Or SEP will scan the file but it will do nothing(leave alone) even if the file is a threat.

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the reply James.

Does SEP log the excluded file or folder after scanning?

No, SEP doesn't automatically log all the excluded files/folder from scan, you need to capture Vpdbug.log for the same

AFAIK, SEP will scan the file but will not take any action. To verify you can enable the logging, It will show the path and will not take any action
