  • 1.  Scan LAN machines for Norton Ghost Utility

    Hello!

    Can anyone please help? How can I scan LAN machines to know if Norton Ghost Utility is installed or not? LAN machines are running Linux and Windows XP, 7 and 8 OS.

    At the top of this forum is a link to the Norton Support Community. This forum is for Symantec Ghost and not the Norton version which is based on different technology.

    Generally though, you can test for the presence of an application by looking for its uninstall entry in the registry. Start from HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Uninstall/<name or GUID of product>

    Dear EdT,

    I need to scan LAN machines from Symantec - End Point Protection Manager to know if LAN users have installed Norton Ghost or not. Can I do that or need to install a utility for this purpose?

    In that case, try posting in the Symantec End Point Protection forum as they will know how best to configure the tool you are using.
