Hi, I am managing a network which compises of more then 1000 desktops and laptops. Our office is an R&D lab where two types of workers we have, one the developers who develop the code for the company's product and Testers who test those codes.  SEP 11 is the antivirus solution we are using to protect out network computers. Now, some of our test user don't prefer to use the anivirus in their desktops as that slows down their testing process and these test machines are not part of our company domain, they work as workgroup computers. These users creates a security threat for my network as they don't have any antivirus installed and use internet regularly.

Now I am looking for an solution how can I track these culprits which don't have any anivirus. I tried to google the net for solution and could not find any. This will be greate help for me if any body provide me a working solution for this problem

    Thanks in advance.

you need to set unmanaged detector to know the machines that are not managed or not installed with AV.

    check these links

What does it mean to set a client as an Unmanaged Detector?
    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH105722

Find Unmanaged Clients on a remote network location using the Unmanaged Detector

Setting notifications when using the "Unmanaged Detector" feature in the SEPM

Hi thanks for the reply. But my requirement was not that what you suggest. I want a mechanism where I can detect the network computers which does not have SEP installed at all.

I can see that the feature can detect the only unmanaged SEP clients, not the desktops which don't have any AV installed at all. Any help ?
