  • 1.  Schedule full scan on Endpoint Protection.cloud

    Posted Apr 02, 2015 11:10 AM

    Hello,

I installed SEP.cloud on many servers in my company, I saw that the schedules scan not are full scan, because when I run a manual scan this take a long time to complete the task, but when the schedule scan is completed, the time is near seconds (10 seconds some times). So, I think that the schedule scans are rapid scans instead of full.

Anybody knows how to verify that the schedule scans are full or how can I configure a schedule full scans?

    Regards,

    Carlos Espinoza

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

Is it happening with any particular machine or with many of them?

Could you share the impacted machine name and your registered official email id of SEP.cloud account.Send PM to me with the requested info.

We can check machine info at our end.

    Thank you Chetan,

    The request information is: jeperez@cic.cl

This occurs with all machines, but the test was in Peumo (this is the name of machine). The schedule is to 5:00 am.

But right now I see that there differences between Schedlue and Defwatch quick scan. Who run the last type scan?

Defwatch scan runs if system is idle for 15 minutes & Schedule scan runs as per schedule only.

So if system was idle for more than 15 minutes we can say it's Defwatch scan.
