You can schedule reports from outside of the DCS console.  When you edit a query or report you can see its SQL query script.  Just script that straight to the DCS database and you'll get the data you want on a regular basis.

    Hi Alex,

Any idea or suggestion (related forum) on how to do this outside of the DCS console?

You will need the database schema first.  Speak to your Symantec representative to get the ball rolling in getting the Schema.  From the schema you'll be able to construct queries.

There is also the ability to a Query Tool User to pull data from the CSP database.  You can create a report or query in CSP, then create a user in CSP that has "Query Tool User" access.  This user can run a command line statement that automatically runs the saved report/query and exports the results.

You can then use the Windows Task Manager to run this automatically..

See the admin documentation for details.  Look for "Query Tool"

There is also a file in Symantec\Critical System Protection\Console called query_template.ini.  This template has comments that tell you have to use this .ini file (this file is called as part of the command line statement).

There is no native mechanism for generating reports within the console.  If you're looking for quality, distributable reports, you'll need to invest in a reporting solution.
