  • 1.  Scheduled agent install in Altiris 6.9

    Hi,

    I am trying to schedule Altiris agent install on remote desktops/laptops. There is readily available option in Altiris 7.x platform for such an installation.

    However, I am unable to find a scheduled install option 6.9. Is a scheduled install possible? If yes, can anyone please let me knopw the process?

    I don't think you can schedule the AClient/DAgent install through the Deployment Server console, you can only push the agent in real time using the [Tools >] Remote Agent Installer.

    He's correct.  DS 6.9 is all about real-time, not about future planning.  That's one of the reaons they wanted to merge the two products.  DS 7.5 is the better route for advanced planning and huge scalable product rollouts.
