Scheduled Database Maintenance runs an hour early
Shortly after the Day Light Savings Time (DST) that took place on November 1, 2009, the database maintenance has been starting one hour earlier. For the last 2 years it's always been set to run everyday at 2pm PST; as of November 1st it's been running at 1pm everyday.
I only have one BEWS running and it's been installed on the same server; BEWS v11.0 r. 7170 Service Pack 4, Hot Fix, 62, 63, 64, 65 and 69.
Some of the things I've tried, but to no avail:
- Disabled the database maintenance, stopped and restarted all of the BE services, and then enabled it once again.
- Did the same as above only I did a reboot of the server.
- Changed the system (OS) timezone and then changed it back; this was something that Microsoft had suggested back when the DST changed - basically it was a way to force the TZEdit to take effect
All of the scheduled backup jobs (including LiveUpdate) run at the correct times so it's just the database maintenance schedule that is incorrect.
As an FYI, where you set the database maintenance in Options, it reports "Last time maintenance was performed: <date> 01:00:00 PM" and right under it "Perform database maintenance at: 02:00:00 PM".
Not a huge - critical - problem but was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
TIA.

In date time settings,
In date time settings, uncheck "automatically adjust clock for daylight... .". That should help.
Please mark it a solution, if this is useful.
Thanks
I am surprised you have not
I am surprised you have not noticed this before as it is something to be aware of in multiple versions of Backup Exec - as such just set the time for the mainteneance to allow for this and next time DST chanegs be prepared to chaneg it again.
