Hi All,

I am wondering what the best advice on whether to implement scheduled weekly scans on client & server? or simply rely on proactive/real time scanning to detect threats?

The company i now work for used scheduled scans when using SAV10, but i have never bothered with them when using other AV products in the past.

Interested to hear peoples opinions on this.

many thanks!

CL.

Thats why you must to do this.
Have a nice day

hi, consider this if the real

hi,
consider this if the real scan is disabled for some reason and virus resides on the machine, then triggered schedule scan will detect the threat.

Also real time scanning does not scan files within zip drive, schedule scan will scan within zip drive.

Hope this information helps you.

Cheers
Pete

I think schedule scan should

I think schedule scan should be done daily. you can set it to non bussy hours just like we did it at Lunch time .as our lunch time is of 1 hour and schedule scan completes within 1 hour so we have no problem with this .

It is necessary as I have seen no of times some how virus enters the pc with autoprotect enabled but while schedule scan it detects it and take nessary action.
