    Hi,

I have Symantec Endpoint Protection 11 MR4 MP1a, and I have problems with Scheduled scans. Here is what I did:

    1. Create new antivirus and antispyware policy
    2. Configured a single Administrator defined scheduled scan in this policy
    3. Assigned policy to group
    4. Changed options of scheduled scan in assigned policy

Now at step 4, I started having weird results - all workstations receive new policy, however some change scan options in registry while others create new scan???? SO for example, my scan is set to run at 1 pm, I change it to run at 1 am, and then I check scan logs I notice that some workstations in group run scan at 1 am, and some run it at 1pm and at 1 am. When I look at SEP client on problematic workstations -> Scan for threats option I only see 1 scan scheduled, and if I check registry I see 2 scan jobs?? PLease note, this SEP is not upgraded from SAV, I am talking about clean install.

    Hi Davor,

I think you need to open a case with Symantec Technical Support and show them the same via WebEx.

It seems to be a critical issue.

We are also facing the same here.

While exporting a package, you can set to maintain the present Symantec settings and policies, or remove them all with the new received one.
May be the clients have the old policies and you have not successfully applied the desired policies.
Try to apply a new package with removing the present policies feature.
