Scheduled tasks for NS from a remote server

At client site, their operations team has been assigned to move all tasks for all their servers to a centralized location.  What this would mean for the SMP is that all that automatically generated tasks such as NS.Half-hour would be relocated to a remote server and the tasks would be run from there

I don't foresee a problem with this, but haven't had a chance to test this.  Has anyone else had a setup similar to this in their environments?  Any pitfalls to this approach that I'm not seeing?

The tasks are assigned a guid in relation to an item in the

database. I do not see how this solution would work, and I feel it would break your SMP\NS setup.

This would not work. The

This would not work. The tasks are going to need access to the SMP assemblies loaded into the GAC of the SMP/NS server. Also the NS is building and removing scheduled tasks, so how would the centralized server know when a new task is required or an old one is no longer needed?

It would break the NS

The NS creates and modifies scheduled tasks based on interaction with the GUI.  If you move those somewhere else, I'm not sure how it would communicate with your separate server idea.
