Hi,
I got an error during installation of Symantec DLP. I raised this to our DBA but I just would like to ask anyone just an information and a heads up on what this error and what could possibly be its cause.
Any inputs would be very much appreciated.
Thank you.
Dave
Hello,
It will be easier to help you if you shared log file as this could have many reason.
Most usual issue with database creation are:
- missing LOB tablespace (or incorrect name)
- missing privilege for DLP DB account
Regards.
Hi Stephane,
this is the schemacreation.log is there any other log that needs to be checked?
thanks for your time.

hello,
You have to create a tablespace named "LOB_TABLESPACE".
Regards
main error in log file is
------------------------------
ERROR at line 8:
ORA-00959: tablespace 'LOB_TABLESPACE' does not exist
Overall it looks like they didn't follow the Oracle install guide. While they are DBAs, there are certain things that have to be created for DLP to work correctly. I'd send the guide over and make sure they ran the correct templates, post install/user creation, etc.

To echo @Amyers6671's comment how was the DB created? Did your DBA's prepoulate the DB somehow or did you leverage the template for creating the DB? If you did not create the DB using the supplied template or elsewise?
In order to have a working and SUPPORTED Database by Symantec you need to follow the supplied template.
Let us know how the DB was created.
Hi All,
This issue was resolved by adding two tablespace the DRSYS and LOB_TABLESPACES.
Thank you all so much for all your inputs.
Regards,
Apparently we did lack two table spaces DRSYS and LOB_TABLESPACES.
thank you stephane.
