Be careful
If anyone give you a script make sure it will work for you - when expiring images from a catalog you want tread lightly my friend
I suppose it begs the question
why do you need to expire images??
good Will backing-up
Due to lack of Disk space
Dear Friends,
I have shcedule GRT backup & every day i need to expaired disk images when these images duplicated to tape.
NBU can do it for you
NBU can do it for you automatically.
If Basic Disk Storage Unit, configure the Storage Unit to stage to tape automatically. Once disk images have been duplicated to tape, images on tape will be deleted once the high water mark is reached.
If Advanced Disk, you can configure Life Cycle Policies. Copy 1 can be expired after successful duplication or you can 'play' with 'Try to Keep' parameter.
Supporting Storage Foundation and VCS on Unix and Windows as well as NetBackup on Unix and Windows.
Handy NBU links
