Backup and Restore of SCSP database

Eugen,

I see that you are using the SQL 2005 Express database.  This database is for evaluation purposes only, and has a size limit, which when hit, will cause some headaches.  Your best bet is to move to the full version of SQL (2005 or 2008).

Here are two good (and somewhat redundant) articles on how to migrate the SCSP database:

Move manager or DB to a new server
https://imconsole-kb.ges.symantec.com/InfoManager/WebObjects/InfoManager.woa/wo/ODAcMNUjxhhVEmr4atIni0/3.0.32.1.1.1.3.21.0.2.6.11.14.6.0.7.1

How to Move a Symantec Critical System Protection (SCSP) 5.2 Manager and MSDE Database to a Production Database and Server.
https://imconsole-kb.ges.symantec.com/InfoManager/WebObjects/InfoManager.woa/wo/ODAcMNUjxhhVEmr4atIni0/3.0.32.1.1.1.3.21.0.2.6.11.14.1.0.7.1

Please note that you must run the SQL script that is included in both of these articles, or the migration will fail.

        SQL Server Management Studio Express

        Hi Epretzer,

With SQL Express 2005, you can use SQL Server Management Studio Express to create the backup and this would be strongly recommended before actually moving it.

        Do you need more details?

        Please let us know.

        Regards,

        Shulk.
