    I found a discussion from 2010 on this topic, but it is now closed:

    Are there plans for SCSP to officially support Ubuntu Server 12.04 LTS? I'd really like a yes or no answer and/or a contact at Symantec I could have a private discussion with.

    Ubuntu is not currently on the roadmap, however in the past several weeks there have been several requests to add Ubuntu to the supported platform list.

    SCSP Engineering is in the process of evaluating whether or not to support this platform.  If there is enough interest in this platform, then there is a higher chance of it being pursued.

    What has happened with Ubuntu in the past few months?  The amount of requests we are getting for this is increasing . . .
