SD 7.1: Find Ticket Web Part broken?

    What exactly does the Find Ticket Web Part on the Tickets tab of SD actually do? When I enter in an incident number that doesn't exist it tells me so. When I enter an incident number that does exist it doesn't error but it doesn't do anything else either, even when I know the user has permissions to the assigned queue and to the ticket itself.

     

    Is there a better way to allow workers to search for incidents using a web part?
