  • 1.  SD 7.5: Unable to Publish to Process Manager

    Posted Nov 21, 2013 09:13 AM

I hope someone can help but it might require a call to support. We are unable to publish to ProcessManager from Workflow Manager. I put my credentials in when asked and the drop-down menu to choose where in the service catalog the workflow should go is blank. When I use a bad password I get an error telling me that the credentials aren't right however when I use my credentials the logs say that there there is an authentication error. I am trying to publish from the local machine so perhaps that is the cause and I will try from a different machine just in case. We used to do the exact same thing on SD 7.1 and it worked fine.

Check which PM your local server is hooked up to in Local Machine Info. It sounds like the credentials specified there are wrong.

That's what I thought but when I use the TaskTray tool and choose to login to the ProcessManager it says it logs in successfully... I will double-check the credentials to see if it makes a difference.

Still working on this a bit. I am now able to publish using the local, built-in admin account but can't using my own account, which is an admin in ProcessManager.

It MIGHT be a permissions issue. The populating of categories to publish to is more than likely a web service call, and you probably lack permissions to "view" these categories. Check the PM logs at <install>/Logs. You might see logs like "user does not have permission to..."

It was a permission issue! I just checked that and ny giving myself edit permission to the category I was able to populate and then publish to ProcessManager through Workflow Manager. We're all set and back in business!
