SD7 webpages slow to load, LogicBase.ServerExtensions errors in logs
Hello
Can anyone who has managed to install SD7 properly comment on the licensing aspect? I work for an education institiution and have been told that our Helpdesk6 licences haven;t yet been rekeyed to work with SD7. SO I am using some temp keys provided by symantec. Am i right in that the SD7 licences are all installed on the NS7 server? DO the SD7 licences cover the workflow component as well or does it come with a seperate licence?
I have SD7 installed, but when i try and log in with a native account there is a huge time delay, say 1-2 minutes to render the page. The SD7 system log is full of...

Stopping and starting the logicbase service doesn;t fix the time to render issue but it does intermittently fix the "Licence does not allow the use of web part..." errors and the pages render properly. I have logged a ticket with symantec and apparently it has been escalated but I've hearnd very little so far.

The error means that SD can't
The error means that SD can't get the license from NS server. It could mean either the connection to NS isn't available or the license issue.
Have you checked the status of SD license in SIM? And also, cross check the result with the license status manager on SD server machine. You should be able to tell from the license status manager whether the license is available or not.
licences
Thanks for the reply
I was given two SD7 licences to isntall in SIM on the NS. I have a ServiceDesk Core with one node and ServiceDesk technician with 8 nodes.
If I open SIM it tells me that I have 2 Symantec ServiceDesk Solution licences intalled, with with a node count of 1.... If I open the NS console and go Settings -> Service and Asset Management -> ServiceDesk I can see that Total Licence Count is 9.
Running the Notification Server Crdentials Manager test comes back fine. The Licence Status view app used to report back 8 Servicedesk licences but is now saying there are none.
I'm not sure where to go to from here, so I guess I wait for symantec to get back to me.
What did you find?
I'm having a similar problem
Anyone found a solution to this error?
I have noticed that licensing reporting is rather screwy. We have several hundred worker licenses but i still only see the main 'core', but i have had upwards of 10 people in for testing. I have also had a couple of cases in testing where i lose connection to the NS overnight and licesnes are no longer valid. A quick restart of the 'services' on the WF server brings them back however so not a huge deal. ( im guessing network issues in my environment, not a product issue )
From what i understand you get a limited license for one designer built in with the SD key, but if you want to do things outside of service desk you have to buy a serperate key. We did buy one, so i cant comment on how it works with just at SD license.
