    Hi,

I`ve seen a few pieces on the net about Symantec Endpoint Manager alert notification emails, but nothing recent, or with a diffinitive answer:

    1. Currently our Security Alert Notification emails come with a .mht attachment, which has some details in it about the alert. The fact that BlackBerry devices don`t like .mht makes it difficult to stay on top of things when on the move. Is there a way to simply put the details in the body of the email? or an attached format that can open on a mobile device?
    2. Are we able to customise what information is shown in the alert. e.g. We just get 'Malicious cookie traffic.... /firefox.exe', the actual website causing the malicious traffic would be useful...

    Info:

We are running Endpoint Manager 11.0.4000.2295

    Thanks in advance,

The removal of MHT attachments enhancement request is going to be addressed in the SEP 12.1 release. Unfortunately we do not have a confirmed release date for this build, however we are expecting that it will be released during Quarter 2 or Quarter 3. Our customers will be able to migrate from both SEP 11.x and SEP SBE 12.0.x to this release as it will be a merging of the two products, for better consistency. The application of a license file will determine what features are available in the product as we will have licenses for both our small business customers and enterprise customers.

You can read a little more information on this if you follow the link below to the Ideas forum post.

Thanks for your reply & the information... I can see it`s been going on for years, let`s hope it doesn`t continue for a few years still =)

Further to my point #2: Is this possible at all? Customising, or getting more detail, in the notification emails? Or is there a way of seeing this info in SEPM itself? e.g. Which website caused the malicious traffic, so I can warn users against it specifically...

    Thanks,
