Security on Data Connector

Dear All,

I have been asked to set up security on Data Connector with a few Import Rules for a Role.

I have enabled Management Data Connector in the Permissions.

I have made the Role able to Read, Write and Read Permissions on the Import Rule and the associated Data Source. I have also allowed the user to be able to write and "create resource" on the Resource Type and Organizational View that the role is trying to import.

When the user with the role tries to execute the Import Rule, he gets the error:

Error occurred caving details. The current user does not have required permissions to save item '<GUID>'.

When I look at vItem for the given GUID, I see that there is an Item called "Data mapping to 'My Data Import Rule'" with the Description of "Data Source to Resource Mapping for Import/Export task My Data Import Rule".

I have tried to look at this Item, but I cannot.

Does anyone know how I can set the permissions upon this Item, please?

Kindest regards,

It is most likely a hidden console item, so you will need to find out where it resides in order to assign read permissions to that folder (which will probably give the role access to other items that you do not want it to).
