Hi,

I'm trying to find the file where you can configure how often the Oracle Collector / Sensor pulls the logs from Oracle.  As I understand it, the default is 1/10th of a second - this is too much and it's running our Oracle server's CPU up to 100%.

We had this changed once but when I ran LiveUpdate the file got overwritten.

Please advise.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

One thing I want to point out is that, the link above is only for Oracle DB sensor, not Oracle 10g or 9i sensors. And Oracle DB sensor works for both Oracle 10g and 11g databases.

This link is for all collectors that uses the db.jar (SQL-MySQL-Oracle etc...)sensor. It is a sensor feature not collector.

So you mean we can use the config for Oracle 9i collector as well?

You can use "Execution Time" for all DB sensors. We use it for collecting events each hour...
