Security Status - Attention Needed

When I open the SEPM I see my System Status as Needs Attention (we are running 11.0.2000.1567). When I click on more details I see a list of Computer Names under Antivirus Definition Failures. Now the problem is that several of these are older computers and are no longer in the network and have not been listed in my Groups for weeks now. Once I took these clients off the network I deleted them out of the appropriate Groups. Even the Antivirus Definition listed is old (3 weeks or better). How can I clean these PCs out of this list? Thanks in advance for any help that you can provide.

Hi BTIT,

Hi BTIT,
I’d recommend setting the time limit at which logs purge to less than what it is currently (which should be 30 days by default).

Here are the steps to do this from within the SEPM:
1.)   Click Admin.
2.)   Click Local Site.
3.)   Click Edit Site Properties.
4.)   Modify the “Delete clients that have not connected for:” setting down from 30 days to something smaller, say 14 days.
5.)   Click OK.

It might take a few hours, but you should see clients that haven’t checked in within the last 14 days to drop off the list.  If a good computer drops off the list (say if someone was on vacation), it’s okay…this computer will show back up in the list when it checks back in with the SEPM.

Best,

Eric
