PROBLEM: SEE 11.1.0, Clients jump back to SEE-Unassigned Group
Hello,
We have a working installation of Symantec Enpoint Encryption 11.1.0.
* NATIVE Policy
* NO Active Directory/LDAP Sync Active
* Customer GROUP called LAPTOPS under "Symantec Endpoint Encryption managed Ccomputers"
* If we install the client package (Native) They drop into "SEE-Unassigned"
* We manualy MOVE them to the "LAPTOPS" group where they should stay
* For some unkown reason and after different times or status (In office, At home, over VPN, With WIFI, with LAN > No idea...) THEY drop random BACKUP to the "SEE_Unassgined" group and then GET a different POLICY like password complexity and Rescue question.
Workaround: We then check the Server daily AND move then back into the "LAPTOPS" groups.
Any help welcome and ideas welcome.
Some comment which has nothing to do with the case:
Original CASE # 09973625 was closed without solving problem. The firs was related in a follow UP problem by NOT sseing USB keyboard when clitn fell out of policy.
We had to re-open the CASE # 10217244 now.
The first case was before Ransomware waved where all security firms has to suffer because large amount of cases.
There is an OPEN case with Symantec sicne almost 1.5 months now. The First person did not understand the difference between "Symantec PGP Full Disk" and the "SEE". Thats was ok because the two largest Distrubutors in EMEA also has 1 montsh until they found out the difference between the old suites and new SEE11.
They second one did not seem to read the manual itself ever. The case is stuck since weeks now nobody seems to care.
Since this is not some enduser produkt i wonder how we manage boot failuere ones with special SSD and OPAL drives.
We handle other large enterprise clients with Symantec EV Vault solutions and we are an Mcafee Elitee Partner doing DLP, TIE and ATD appliances.
I have been using Symantec in large SEP/SEV for 15 years now in Enterprise but what i get here on support is a laggy. Glad we alrady switch over 100 customer from bexec to Veeam.
Anyone any idea or did we get it complete wrong.
