SEE 7.0.4 problem with native policies

Hi,

recently I installed SEE 7.0.4 on a Windows 2008 Server. The installation is without Active Directory integration - so we're just talking about using native policies.

FYI AD group policies are not an option as you have to be domain adminstrator to manage them and the customer ist not willing giving domain admin rights to their desktop admins.

So we started creating Framework, Fulldisk and Removeable storage client packages. Then we wanted to start creating the native polices.

At this point we run in a problem. The only native policy which can be created is for the framework. There is no option to create a Fulldisk or Removeable store native policy.

I can't believe that this is "works as designed" :-) Is it a bug in 7.0.4? Have we missed anything altough there is nothing special which can be missed.

Any ideas?

Regards
Alex

Hi Alex, I think I've already

Hi Alex,

I think I've already answered this via another route, but here goes :-)

The native policy contains ALL component settings within a single policy - they are not split into separate component policies.  If you work through the first few framework questions you should then get to the Full Disk questions, followed by Removable Storage
