  • 1.  SEE 8 HA for SEE Manager Server

    Greetings.. Some quick help SEEing version 8:

    1)How does the SEE client contact the "secondary" SEE Manager Server if the "primary" is not available?

    As each of the SEE Mgr Srvrs (that are connected to the same SEEDB) have an independent website for communication with SEE clients.

    2) Does this mean that we must employ DNS round robin to make this feature highly available for SEE clients?

     

    And 2 more please:..

    What are the impacts of:

    1. Advanced option: Protect against cold boot attack
    2. Using the "Offline" for OTP configuration

    Quick answer is that it doesnt contact the secondary server so yes you do need to do something like DNS round robin or create NLB.
