SEE 8 Harddrive performance around 20mb max
Created: 13 Feb 2011 | 1 comment
I have recently upgraded to a Dell M4500 with i7840q/8Gb/500gig 7200 rpm drive/Windows7 64bit. We installed SEE 8 on the computer and the harddrive performance dropped to 20MB. It almost looks like it is being throttled by the SEE. Is this possible? I installed a second 500gig 5400rpm drive in the media pay. It is not encrypted. I did some benchmarks to show the difference. I have put it on my dropbox for you guys to look at.

Sorry about the delay,
I installed the HD Tune 2.55 on the machine without SEE installed. I tried to copy a 14GB data from D: drive to C: with the HD tune utility started.
What I found is it shows about 151 min to copy, if the stop the HD tune utility, it comes down to 20min.
I am not sure how this tool works, but it for sure cause performance to slow down.
