  • 1.  SEE 8.0.0 on Dell E6220 with SSD, Win7

    Hi all,

     

    I am having issues with the above.

    I can install the framework fine, but when i install the full disk encryption, the system fails to boot.

    With the HDD set to ACHI, it gets caught at "Starting Windows" section.

    With the HDD set to ATA, it reboots at "Starting Windows" section.

    With the HDD set to RAID, it gets caught at "Starting Windows" section.

     

    Has anyone else had these issues ?

    check the following:

    1.) is the SSD drive self-encrypting? device mgr. will usually show FDE (full-disk encrypted) or physically look on drive for same. SEE doesn't not work as expected on SSD FDE drives. 

    2.) just a note - in general SEE like's AHCI sata operation mode

    3.) Some of the Dell models work better with SEE 8.2.0 and above
