I recently downloaded SEE 8.0.1 SP1 to correct a problem I was having with Dell Optiplex 980 desktops not allowing me to use the USB Mouse/Keyboard to authenticate on Guardian Edge 9.5.3. After getting a test SEE 8.0.1 SP1 install from Symantec, I was able to install it, and log in succesfully.
I have now downloaded and created the install packages using our settings. After I get through the SEE screen using my client admin login, it shows six dots (...... _) and a blinking cursor. It sits there indefinitely. I am using Windows 7 Pro 64.
I have read other posts about trying to change the boot order so that the HDD boots first, trying different SATA modes, etc. None of these seem to help. I have formatted and reinstalled WIn7Pro several times.
I have booted into the 8.0.1 recovery disk and it checked out ok. I have /A option as it is greyed out.
What are my options at this point?
