  • 1.  SEE client check-in question

    Posted Aug 13, 2013 07:45 PM

    Hello,

I have a large amount of machines in an OU that have the server command "decrypt" sent and are waiting until the next check-in. I understand that the next check in is based on the 24 hour "heartbeat" setup, without changing the interval is there a command I can run via command line or group policy to force a check-in?

    thank you

You can restart the System. or update policy from the client icon

Just to clarify, we are talking about SEE here, and clients managed via GPO.

If this is the case, then a simple "gpupdate /force" on the endpoints should get them to pick up the new policy.

You can't really do anything from the SEE client unless you're using the SEE Native Policies, or initiating the decryption locally & manually.

    Hi

From the SEE Server IIS log when I attempt to connect:

    2012-04-11 17:43:50 W3SVC1118681577 10.0.2.150 POST /GECommunicationWS.asmx - 81 - 10.0.80.128 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+6.0;+MS+Web+Services+Client+Protocol+2.0.50727.3625) 401 2 2148074254

    2012-04-11 17:44:08 W3SVC1118681577 10.0.2.150 POST /GECommunicationWS.asmx - 81 simon.com\geapp 10.0.80.128 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+6.0;+MS+Web+Services+Client+Protocol+2.0.50727.3625) 200 0 02

As for your question on which client, I can't answer that just yet.  I believe they might all be 8.2.0 (_not_ MP2) though.

Is this a separate issue?  Please open a new thread for your communications problems.

@rafeeq, I appreciate the input, but I have to run this on over 700 machines remotely.

@SMLATCST This is exactly what I needed, I did not know that a gpupdate would fix the issue. Thanks
