The Selected computer is not responding

When trying to connect to a host (running Windows Vista Home Edition) from a remote computer (Windows XP) using PCAnywhere 12.5 an error message states "The selected computer is not responding, Connection cannot be made".

The BT 2Wire router is set up to accept PCAnywhere connections and the appropropriate ports are open (verified by BT 01/06/11). We are using is a static IP and the client has the correct settings (IP and Ports).

A successful connection has previously been made and no changes to the settings have been made in the interim.

Here is a link on how to use telnet to test connection to a port.   If telnet fails to find the port open then pcA will also fail to find the port open.  Good luck.
