    What version of SEP?

There was a bug that caused this in an older version of 12.1. You may need to upgrade to fix

Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager installation folder is taking a lot of space using version 12.1

Your best bet is to upgrade to the latest version if you can.

I have the same issue so I created a script to run as a nightly job to delete this file. The script is:

    net stop semsrv
    net stop SQLANYs_sem5
    attrib -r "C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\db\sem5.log"
    del "C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\db\sem5.log"
    net start SQLANYs_sem5
    net start semsrv

But like I said, best course of action is to upgrade to latest version

Merci mais une mise à niveau ne va pas poser un problème de licence?

Pourrais-je? en savoir plus sur le script? ou l'executer?

As long as you already have a license it should carry over

I simply opened a txt file and added the lines for the script and saved it as delete_sem5.bat and ran from the desktop on the SEPM. I've attached it so you can take a look

    Attachment(s)

    zip
    delete_SEM5.zip   298 B 1 version

The script will automatically delete it. There is no manual work needed.
