  • 1.  Send Delivery Status Notification Action - explanation not visible or not send?

    Hello

I have trouble enabling Status Notification Action with explanation. (SMG version 10.5.4-4, Exchange 2010 as internal mail server)

I test new Spam Policy (Outbound) with followings Actions:

    1. Prepend subject line with "[Spam test]"
    2. Send a Delivery Status Notification with explanation "Cant send a SPAM message..."
    3. Forward the message to admin_email@..."
    4. Hold message in Spam Quarantine

When I send a test SPAM message a notification is send to me, but I'm not see a explanation in this message.

How can I configure to send properly DSN mail with explanation configured?

    Thanks for reply.

You would have to create a custom notification for each reason, since that is not a variable you can add to the template.

    Ok, thanks.

I know about a "Notification..." action. But I have a question how work a DSN with explanation?

Is it only a comment for action, or is it visible for a recipient of email?

    Thanks for clarification!

    Hello again

I make some test - I created new simple "Email Content Filtering Policy" with:

Condition: If text in Body part of the message contains 1 or more occurrences of "test_string_1"

Action: Send a Delivery Status Notification with explanation "test explanation 1"

Next I send a test email with "test_string_1" in the body. I received a DSN message from my mail server, but without my explanation:

"Delivering to these recipients or groups failed:

    test@testdomain

When delivering this message to the specified e-mail address An error has occurred. Try to send it again. If the problem persists, please contact technical support.

    Diagnostics informations for administrators:

    Generation server: my.server.local

    test@testdomain

    #< #5.0.0> #SMTP#

    "

and other header info, but I do not see my explanation.

Is it something wrong configured in my SMG or this function does not work?
