Hello,  I have sep 12 in my organization. Is it possible to run a remote command to the sep console which will scan a specific host?

    Thank you

Yes. Find the client in SEPM console and right click to run a command. You can initiate different types of scan through this command. Also, it allows you to issue a command to update the definition before runing a command.

This feature can be done for individual computers as well as for an entire group.

Right click a client in SEPM and select Run Command on Computers and select Scan

I am aware that can run this command form the sep console however, I am trying to run an automatic script which will scan specific hosts host from a list that is changing every day ,therefore logging into the console and start a scan on each host takes me a long time thus, I want to run a command from my computer in the organization   and this command will be send to the sep console server to run the scan on the target host

    Thank for your assistance

Well you could use something like psexec to kick off doscan I suppose but what you're trying to do isn't really feasible. This option doesn't exist in SEPM.

Such option is not available in SEPM.

You could create a new Antivirus policy for an OU and configure a custom scan in it. Hope it helps.
