sep 11 manager logs in then shuts off

when i go to log into SEPM 11 it flashes as if it is going to login then abruptly exits to desktop on 2003 std server

Try login using:
Try login using:
username: admin
password: password
Instead of locahost:8443 try the ipaddress:8443 or servername:8443
Example:
admin
password
10.10.10.10:8443

I am sure that the the steps sugggested by Kedar will do the job. if it doesn't resolve the issue then Reconfigure the Management Server to use a different communication port such as port 844
