  • 1.  SEP 11 to SPC 2.1 upgrade/migration

    Posted Apr 01, 2013 04:42 PM

    Hello,

I've been reading the docs I have from Symantec, but I haven't seen any upgrade path.

Can I install SPC on the same SEP 11 server?

Also, any materials will be helpful. Thank you.

How do I access the Symantec Protection Center?

    Hi Backup Name,

SPC 2.x is a specialized virtual appliance which can combine data from many Symantec products: it can be handy in very large organizations.  SEP 12.1 and above are able to forward data to SPC. Here are some articles:

What is the Latest Available Version of Symantec Protection Center (SPC) 2?

What products integrate with Symantec Protection Center (SPC) 2.x?

SPC 2.x is not the SEP 12.1 version of the SEPM.  SEP 12.1 has a new and improved SEPM over SEP 11.

Hope this helps- please add any additional questions/requests to the thread below!

    With thanks and best regards,

    Mick
