  • 1.  SEP 11: There was a problem starting cceraser.dll

    Hi All,

     

    Any of you got experience troublehsooting above error?  SEP client version is RU6... i've upgraded to RU6 MP2 but same error still intermittently appear...

     

    Full error is like below:

     

    "There was a problem starting c:\programdata\symantec\definitions\virusdefs\20120611.019\cceraser.dll"

     

    "Access is denied"

    can you try removing corrupted definition. check this link

    if it still does not solve, can you try repair SEP using add/remove program?

    Well the weird part the client def looks updated to latest...

     

    I've resorted to uninstall the version and then upgraded to RU6 MP2... still the message pop-out intermittently it seems..

     

    may i know what issue is this?

    looks like corrupted definition. can you run sepsupport tool on the client and open a  support ticket?

    also post the results here.

    Ok, thanks for the advice.

     

    Still waiting for latest customer feedback, if issue persist definitely we will escalate as usual..
