SEP 11.0.6->12.1 Upgrade, Success Anyone?
Hello esteemed SEP users! I am wondering if anyone succeeded with above-mentioned topic? We've built a test 11.0.6 box with few clients assigned to it and performed an in-place upgrade to 12.1. On reboot, CPU is through the roof as long as SEP service is running and I believe Tomcat is the curplit here. Below is the error that shows up in catalina.err every few seconds:
(Thread.java:662) Mar 28, 2011 2:43:53 PM org.apache.tomcat.util.net.JIoEndpoint$Acceptor run
SEVERE: Socket accept failed java.net.SocketException: SSL handshake errorjavax.net.ssl.SSLException: No available certificate or key corresponds to the SSL cipher suites which are enabled. at com.sygate.scm.pool.customssl.CustomServerSocketFactory.acceptSocket(CustomServerSocketFa
Has anyone seen this or knows how to fix it? This is a vanilla upgrade, where all default settings and ports were taken. Also, is there a formal support for 12.1 beta or is it not currently supported?
Thanks!

I didn't know 12.1 beta was available for download yet?? I signed up for it but have not gotten an email indicating it is ready for download...
I would imagine support is pretty limited though. Perhaps a call to support is needed.

SEP SBE 12 dot-anything is completely different from the upcoming SEP 12 Beta.
You should not try to migrate from SEP 11.0.6 (enterprise) to SEP 12 SBE. That would be like installing 11.0.2 over 11.0.6.
The numbering has confused many people. The Beta has not been released. If you signed up, you will receive an email.

To my knowledge, SEP 12.1 is the beta, not SBE. At least, that's what I was told at the last user group...

SEP 12 beta
I signed up for the SEP 12 beta program and had read online that beginning of April was when public beta was supposed to be started. I have not heard anymore on this confirming that I would be able to start the program next month nor where I would go to download the beta.
This is definitelty SEP and
This is definitelty SEP and not SBE, not sure why others are still not able to download the beta.
Here are the version numbers from versions.txt from the root of the DVD:

Lets be clear here - some customers DO have access to the beta build - we released BETA1 of SEP12 to a select number of invited customers via Symbeta.
This forum is primarily to be used for discussions around the upcoming PUBLIC beta, which will be based on BETA2 of the SEP12 code and has NOT been released yet.
For those people who have access to the BETA1 build, you will get more responses and better assistance via the Symbeta forums (if you have access to Symbeta these are easy to find) which are being monitored by engineering and product management.

Paul, Thanks for the clearing
Paul, Thanks for the clearing that up. With two new versions (12.1 Enterprise and 12.1 SBE) in the pipeline, and the existing SEP 12 SBE product, things get a bit confusing

Gentlemen,
Sorry, I didn't mean to start the controversy: we did get the software through SYMBETA, I thought so did everyone else on that list. I guess not..
Regardless of the source, what is the support options for it? Do we contact Symantec via regular support channels or is there a dedicated team for beta release?
Thanks!
Suppport issue is resolved,
Suppport issue is resolved, as Paul mentioned, SYMBETA has an option to report incidents, which I have done. I will update this topic once the issue is resolved.

To clarify any confusion:
If you are currently on SEP 11.0.6 and want to stay on the enterprise product, you should download SEP 12.1 beta code.
If you are currently on SEP SBE 12.0 (this is the Small Business version of SEP 11), you should download SEP Small Business Edition (SEP SBE) 12.1 beta code.
The Beta code you want to download is version 12.1 (whether it's SEP 12.1 or SEP SBE 12.1).
Thanks!
