SEP 11.0.6005.562 client is not updating

  • 1.  SEP 11.0.6005.562 client is not updating

    MY SEP SERVER IS INSTALLED IN A WINDOWS 2003.BUT ALL THE CLIENTS ARE RUNNING IN WINDOWS 7. MY PROBLEM IS THAT SOME OF MY CLIENT COMPUTERS ARE NOT GETTING UPDATED FROM THE SEP SERVER.WHAT MAY BE THE PROBLEM? PREVIOUSLY IT WAS RUNNING PERFECTLY BUT SUDDENLY IT IS NOT WORKING FOR 3 DAYS..PLEASE HELP ME OUT..

    I HAVE CHECKED NETWORK CONNECTIVITY WHICH IS WORKING FINE.FIREWALL IS ALSO OFF.SYSTEM IS PINGING TO THE SERVER.SERIAL NUMBER IS ALSO MATCHED.

    Hello,

    How many Windows 7 machines are not updating with the definitions?

    Since the policies are updating, the communication is perfect. 

    Could you upload us the sylink.log from the client machines to check the root cause of the issue:

    How many system having problem ?

    Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 11.x is not updating 32 or 64 bit virus definitions.

    Can you check in the log.liveupdate log on the affected SEP client (or post the log here) - the log will contain entries about all sucessfull or failed attempts while downloading definitions from SEPM. For the log file location on your systems refer to the following Article:

    Another log that will help checking whats happening during the communication between the client and sepm is sylink.log:

    HI,

    CLIENT IS RUNNING ON WINDOWS 7..THERE IS NO LOG.LIVEUPDATE FILE IN THE DESIRED LOCATION "C:\ProgramData\Symantec\LiveUpdate\Log.Liveupdate"\

    BUT I HAVE GOT THE FILE IN THE SERVER WHICH IS RUNNING ON WINDOWS 2003

    SNAC status:  Not connected or unknown

    WHY?
