SEP 11.5 not installing on 2003 Terminal Server

Do I have to remove Terminal Services to install Antivirus?  I have a Windows 2003 Domain controller that is also a Terminal Server.  We just installed a tape backup, but could not get the Backup Exec to install without an Antivirus, and SEP 11 Manager for reporting.  SEP 11 Manger installed fine, but the Antivirus only runs, then quits.  It is never actually installed.  Re-running the setup prompts a reboot requirement.  I've tried running the package created in the manager, tried deploying it from the manager, even tried installing an unmanaged client, rebooting every time as "required."  Once the SEP AV installer told me to close the TS install window to continue, the MS window that says not to close until the install has completed.

I've read best practices, they do not answer the problem now faced.  20/20 hindsight, and availability of the software before we installed Terminal services would've been great though.

Thi looks like it only remembers the last time it ran, not all the previous attempts.  It runs and disappears once, then refuses to run again until after a reboot.  I guess I need to reboot, run only once, then paste the log?

Did you try to install the SEP client on the TS from the >Control Panel> ADD or Remove programs and select the tab add new programs?

I have tried to use Add/Remove, even though it is just a throw-back to W2K, there was no difference.  I just ran it again and this log is much larger.  I see the install process move quite a ways, but then it just reverses without explaination.

Pending file rename operations looks good to know, but I think it is only caused by another issue here.

If you are having issues installing make sure there are no other terminal services users connected and there are no disconnected terminal server sessions.

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared
    C:\Documents and Settings\All users\Application Data\Symantec

I already have SEP 11 Manager installed, so I cannot delete those directories right now.  I just downloaded the MR6 and will be trying that over the weekend, so I can reinstall SEPM anyway.

I uninstalled SEPM MR5, rebooted and installed SEP 11 MR6 unmanaged successfully.  Updated and rebooted.  Need SEPM, so I will install that and reinstall the Antivirus as managed.  Backup Exec may have interfered here.  I tried to install that before SEP, but it requires SEPM.  LiveUpdate may have already been installed and conflicted.  The live update folder in All Users was the only one left after the SEPM uninstall, so I deleted that manually.

I think the real fix was just using newer software.

Installed SEPM, created and deployed SEP, it replaced the unmaged client without a hitch.
