    Hi,

we have the problem that the first Pattern-Update after a new SEP-Client-Installation will take very long until the Client is up2date.

For installation we are using a software distribution system, the SEP-Package we change twice a year.

My question: When i create a new Package in SEPM, are there the newest Pattern-files included?

    BR

    Hi,

There will be fixed definitions in default package , default package definitions will not update even your SEPM is updated with latest definitions.

It's by design, once you deploy those package that client will receive new definitions from SEPM.

So it takes time to update SEP client after deploying default package.

So I would request keep your product up to date so default package wouldn't have very old definitions.

    1. Within the SEPM go to the Monitors page, then click the Logs tab.

    2. Select Computer Status in the 'Logs type' dropdown field.

    3. Set an appropriate time range, then click the View Log button.

Is there a powershell-script availbable, where i can do the copy-job from my SEPM-Server to a network-share on another server, automatically?

Hi Pete, my client-installation-package ist located on my software distribution server.

I want to copy the newest full.zip's from SEPM to the software distribution server every 10 days with using a script! I do not want to do that manually...

:-), not that I'm aware , but it's like a batch file running with commands copying from one location(content) to another location ( client package).
