    See screenshot:

Tried the Check Now. No updates. So, how soon can we expect this incompatibility to disappear? Just an estimate. Not asking for any commitments here.

    Hi,

I think you should check with SEP 12.1 RU1

    Improved security and performance

Release Update 1 includes the following enhancements:

    • The Firewall policy provides better support for mobile broadband adapters. The firewall is compatible with NDIS6 interfaces on Windows Vista and later.
    • Browser intrusion prevention in the Intrusion Prevention policy is compatible with Firefox 5, Firefox 6, and Firefox 7.
    • You can specify exceptions for a manual scan, Auto-Protect scan, or both.

Check following article for more details

That won't help since it is stating it is compatible with  "Firefox 5, Firefox 6, and Firefox 7."   This customer is using Firefox 10.

Althought it states only up to FireFox 7, IPS is working up until FireFox 9.

I have both installed, Firefox 10 and SEP 12.1 RU1 and the same problem persists, the IPS add-on is not working.

    Hi,

Firefox 10 is not supported at this point, may be in the future release it would be supported.

Is there a way to force SEP on Firefox?

Workaround would be to use the version of firefox which are compatible with SEP at this time

Using latest version is to use the latest feature..then why we need to go back to old version?

That's a workaround. The solution would be to upgrade SEP once the new patch supporting that version of Firefox is out.

This is probably what we can do at best:

Run SEP without that one component. Then wait for the new update from Symantec. Afterall, we do have lots of clients with the AV component only. Due to memory and CPU limitations.
