    HI,

Normally SEP cliant not ask reboot..

But you can check this setting..

    Open registry and go to
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\
hight light Session Manager on the right hand side delete the value
    PendingFileRenameOperations

Also delete the same value from
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet001\Control\Session Manager\PendingFileRenameOperations

then run the install...without rebooting the PC

    Hi,

Also try to delete if any DWORD value is present under reboot required.

    HKLM/SW/microsoft/winows/current version/windows update/Autoupdate/Rebbot required

Your can try to avoid reboot by deleting registry values.

However in some cases even after deleting from registry reboot is must.

Note: Take a registry backup before doing any changes.

You can install SEP without a reboot if your installing AV only and it is a fresh install (no sep installed previously)

If you're upgrading from 11.x to 12.1 a reboot is needed to complete the install

A reboot is also needed if you have the NTP component installed.

If you're upgrading from 12.1 to another version of 12.1 a reboot will only be needed if the NTP component is installed.

If it is a Production Server then don't take a risk, get the approval from your Senior and then restart the same.

Defore restarting check the status of Window firewall service and after restart chnage the same as earlier setting.

After that install the fresh AV.
