This issue has been solved. See solution.

Does anyone know if there is a difference if you merely assign a firewall policy to a group of machines that do not have the firewall feature installed compared

to assigning a firewall policy to machines that have the firewall feature installed on the SEP 12 agent.

if the firewall policy is applied to the group and the clients within that group do not have NTP component the traffic is not scanned > If the clients have NTP component installed within the group the traffic will be scanned for the rules assigned.

Hi ThaveshinP,

Network Threat Protection should be installed in SEP to apply firewall rules. otherwise it will be ignore.
