I've faced a issue to install SEP v12 client on Windows2003 SP2. Actually this is Upgrade from v11, but I guess the problem is from v12.

Installation from SEPM is rollback. Here are what I tried but it's same result.

  - install from SEPM by checking-off Start menu (http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH170259)

  - to install "unmaged client"

  - finally run Cleanwipe

Cleanwipe says:

2014-07-21T14:41:30.366Z ERROR Failed to initialize SEPRemovalToolNative. WaitForSingleObject returned 258. Last error: 0. Check C:\WINDOWS\Temp\CleanWipe_201407211640378\SepRemovalToolNative_x86.log file.
 

SepRemovalToolNative says:

2014-07-21T14:40:54.475Z FATAL Parent is not trusted.
 

So far I haven't got solved. Does someone any ideas or resolv ?

What's the exact 12.1 version?

Look in %temp% for SEP_INST.log and SIS_INST.log files, post here for review

I imported two certificates which is written in the article TECH218029, then it works!

This is for your info, the SEP version is 12.1.4100.4126 - the latest version at this moment.
