SEP 12 questions

This issue has been solved. See solution.

I have a couple of questions.  I've just installed SEP 12 Protection Center to the single server on a client network and am wondering about the following:

1.  in the Protection Center > Home area, I have Notifications: 2 New.  To the right there is a link called "View Notifications".  When I click it, nothing happens, no windows pop up, no "website script block" kind of bars occur, nothing to indicate it even knows I clicked other than the dotted line that goes arounda  hyperlink when you click on it.  Any ideas?  Is it an IE security zone thing?

2.  In Protection Center, when you issue a command to a computer to get it to scan, is there any way to view the active status of this scan?  It would be nice to actually view the scan progress as it goes, as opposed to running reports that are just static items

3.  LiveUpdate progress - any way to view the active progress of LiveUpdate from the Protection Center?

thanks to anybody that can help.

Edited 5 minutes later:

I should also add that clicking on any other link on the interface works - for example just above the View Notifications link is a link for View Details (in relation to the Status: Good box) which works.  So it's just View Notifications that doesn't.

FWIW, the SMTP server settings are not valid - any chance this would mess up the function of this link on the Home tab?

hi

the home link issues are related to enhanced security of IE try disabling that check if you are able to view the notifications
cannot have real time progress of scan or liveudpate, coz clients will send logs only when complete the above two, at any point of time , SPC will not have real time data, its only when clients send

View Notifications (Still)

Ok, I was still having problems with the View Notifications thing so I spent an hour or so trying various Security settings and have found the answer.  I'm going to post it in a new thread for specificity in case anybody else encounters this same issue.
