The SEPM is installed with
The SEPM is installed with the defaults ?
Port 9090 and Port 8014 ?
The SEPM should NOT run under the app pool of sharepoint. On my 2 servers it runs with the default app pool.
And what do you mean you cannot find it ?
There must be a website named "Symantec Web Server", if not it seems to be a bigger problem.
And then look at your last backup. If the symantec directories exist.
Should be located: %programfiles%\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Inetpub\

Dotit, SEP 12 do not run on
Dotit,
SEP 12 do not run on IIS anymore. The step that you suggested isn't neccessary.
Try my suggestion on one client computer and check if this is fixing the issue
1. Export a copy of Sylink from the manager (Computer > Policies Tab > Export Communication Settings)
2. Take this sylink.xml to a client
3. Click start > Run, type smc -stop
4. replace the old sylink in <driveletter>:\program fles\symantec\symantec endpoint protection with the newly exported sylink
5. Click start > Run, type smc -start
Please check if this works.

Thanks BharRie ill try this and get back to you
No joy
Nope, that didnt work , is there a command to run an uninstall , that way i can get it all removed from all clients and start a fresh
With your IP addresses in
With your IP addresses in your network, are the workstations with SEP on them set to have static IP addresses or do they change? I ask this because on ours we had it setup for week long leases and during my testing I found that when a client's lease would expire and they would get a new different IP, that the management console wouldn't recognize it right away and think that the machine still had the old IP address, and thus would not update the client or report that the client was working when it was.
Need, I disagree with you.
Need,
I disagree with you. SEPM is not designed the way you say. SEP 12 does supports dynamic IP address.
Dotit_Matt,
You may try creating a new install settings to remove previous logs,
Use this settings to export a package.
Deploy the package as usual with deployment wizard.
I hope this resolves the issue.

Hi
Hi I had an expirience before that no clients is being reporting to SEPM. The main cause of the problem is because we change the host name of all clients. What we did is reinstall the SEP manager as advised by symantec support.
Did you change also the
Did you change also the hostname of your all clients?or just an SEPM alone?
